Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and improve overall health. Exercises are performed on a mat or on specially designed equipment. Though it was actually created in the 1920's, Pilates is now the fastest growing fitness program in the world.

Pilates is a whole body workout with an emphasis on breath, proper form and efficient movement patterns. Pilates strengthens the core, improves balance and posture, increases coordination and decreases stress. When done correctly the exercises are safe for all ages and fitness levels.

Pilates will meet the needs of anyone wanting to enhance their ability to move with increased ease, strength and flexibility. So, even if you just want to improve your golf or tennis game or to glide a little better across the dance floor Pilates is the program for you!
